BRINGING SOULS TO CHRIST
What must I do to be Saved?
Salvation takes place when a person receives the gospel message of grace, believes it, and makes a decision to receive Jesus into his or her heart.
Salvation Prayer - The Simple Steps:
- Acknowledge in your heart that Jesus is Lord.
- Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
- Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised on the 3rd day.
- Repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus.
Salvation Prayer - Merely a Tool to Communicate Our Faith
The Salvation Prayer is not a ritual based on specific words. This is not simply the power of a prayer, but the power of truly committing our lives to Christ as Savior and Lord.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
Dear God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Admitting that I am a sinner. I ask You to forgive me of all my sins. The Bible says if I confess with my mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in my heart that Jesus was raised from the dead, I will be saved (Rom. 10:9). I believe with all my heart and confess with my mouth that 'Jesus is the Lord and Savior of my life'. Thank You for saving me! I now commit myself
to baptism.
In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
WATER BAPTISM
What is Baptism and its importance?
Baptism is the immersion of the Believers in Jesus Christ in water as an outward sign of an inward change. (Romans 6:3-4)
Baptism is to show forth our death, burial and resurrection, and to insure faith in the death burial and resurrection of the blessed Christ.
Baptism is done in obedience to Jesus Christ, therefore becoming an ordinance of the Church. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Baptism represents the entrance of a person into the community of faith.
(Ephesians 4:4-6)
